SOLIDO TypeF Shirasu INTERIOR PANEL
SOLIDO TypeF Shirasu combines the raw, authentic texture of cement with a carefully developed blend of volcanic scoria, recycled paper pulp, and silica powder. This unique material composition results in a surface that is both environmentally responsible and visually striking. The subtle variations in texture and tone give each panel a natural depth and character, allowing interiors to feel contemporary yet grounded in natural materiality. The result is a sustainable interior solution that balances performance, aesthetics, and responsible design.
Intelligent Humidity Control for Comfortable Interiors
SOLIDO TypeF Shirasu features an innovative composition based on porous volcanic scoria, a naturally breathable material known for its excellent humidity-regulating properties. The microscopic pores within the scoria actively absorb excess moisture when humidity levels rise and gradually release it back into the air when conditions become drier. This continuous, natural balancing process helps maintain a stable and comfortable indoor environment. Thanks to this performance, SOLIDO TypeF Shirasu is particularly well suited to European climates, where seasonal and daily humidity fluctuations are common.
Natural humidity balance:
Helps maintain a comfortable interior by responding naturally to changing moisture levels.
Climate-smart comfort:
Supports stable indoor environments, perfectly suited to regions with fluctuating humidity.
Volcanic materiality:
Introduces interiors to the raw beauty and performance of porous volcanic scoria.
Sustainable texture:
Combines recycled content and cement into a visually striking, environmentally responsible surface.
UNIQUE YELLOWISH SCORIA RESOURCE IN KYUSHU
Volcanic Scoria – Nature’s Intelligent Material
Scoria is a sedimentary material that accumulated as a result of a large scale volcanic eruption in southern Kyushu approximately 30,000 years ago. Scoria is created when lava is ejected from a volcano and rapidly cools in the air. The cooling process traps gas bubbles within the rock, resulting in a porous and lightweight texture. Scoria typically appears dark in color, ranging from black to reddish-brown. We have selected those that have taken on a yellowish hue over the years, which offers humidity control properties. Also, scoria is environmetally friendly material compared to traditional, since its natural, abundant resource.
Porous by nature:
Harnesses volcanic formation to create lightweight surfaces with natural breathability.
Humidity responsive:
elected yellow-hued scoria helps regulate indoor moisture for enhanced comfort.
Ancient origin:
Formed over thousands of years, bringing geological depth and authenticity to interiors.
Naturally sustainable:
Uses an abundant volcanic resource to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance.
