EXCLUSIVE PHOTOCATALYTIC COATING SYSTEM
KMEW’s Photocatalytic Ceramic Coating is an advanced four-layer finish system that integrates a durable substrate, a color layer, and two exclusive surface technologies - ceramic coating and photocatalytic coating - to deliver long-lasting, low-maintenance exterior cladding with exceptional aesthetic stability.

KMEW’s distinction lies in the final two layers. The ceramic coating serves as a robust protective barrier, providing superior color retention by blocking ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This prevents pigment degradation and fading, ensuring the façade maintains its vibrancy over time. The ceramic layer also enhances durability, offering strong resistance to weathering and environmental stress.

The photocatalytic coating - a thin, transparent layer containing titanium dioxide (TiO₂) - activates in sunlight. When exposed to UV light, the TiO₂ triggers a catalytic reaction that breaks down organic pollutants and surface grime. Rainwater then washes these loosened particles away, creating a natural self-cleaning effect that significantly reduces the need for manual maintenance.

Together, the ceramic and photocatalytic layers form a synergistic protective system: one preserves color brilliance, the other keeps the surface clean. The result is a façade solution that offers enduring performance, reduced upkeep, and consistently high visual quality—ideal for demanding architectural applications.
CERAMIC LAYER

The ceramic coating acts as a robust protective layer, offering superior color retention by blocking ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This prevents the degradation and fading of the pigment layer, ensuring the panel's vibrant appearance remains intact for an extended period. The ceramic finish also provides a highly durable, weather-resistant surface. How it works:
Si–O bond has a bond energy of 443 kJ/mol, it means it takes 443 kJ of energy to break 1 mole of Si–O bonds. ultraviolet has less energy 413 kJ/mol and it can not break Si-O bond.
PHOTOCATALYTIC LAYER

The photocatalytic coating is a thin, clear layer that utilizes titanium dioxide (TiO₂) as a catalyst. When exposed to sunlight (UV light), the TiO₂ creates a powerful reaction that breaks down organic pollutants and dirt particles on the panel's surface. These broken-down particles are then easily washed away by rain, a process known as "self-cleaning." This mechanism significantly reduces the need for manual cleaning and maintenance.
EXTREMALY ECO-FRIENDLY

The surface of KMEW panels is engineered with an advanced Photocatalytic Ceramic Coating that works actively with sunlight and rainwater to protect both buildings and the environment. Harmful pollutants from car exhausts and industrial emissions — including nitrogen oxides (NOx) and sulfur oxides (SOx) - are neutralized through photocatalysis, helping to clean the surrounding air. When rain falls, the degraded particles are washed away, completing a natural purification cycle without releasing anything harmful back into the environment.
PHOTOCATALYTIC coating decomposes car exhaust and other pollutants in the air.
AIR PURIFYING

This tree-like behavior offers a powerful environmental advantage: a 200 m² façade performs the same air-purifying work as 14 poplar trees, supporting cleaner urban air, contributing to healthier living environments and helping reduce the ecological impact of buildings without any additional energy or maintenance.

INNOVATIVE PANEL CORE

KMEW use an extrusion process that creates numerous micro-scale, independent voids throughout the material. These micro-voids act to absorb and lessen the pressure caused by the expansion of moisture upon freezing, enhancing durability against frost damage.
EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO FREEZE/THAW CYCLING
When moisture contained inside the base material freezes, it expands and can cause frost damage. Manufactured with an extrusion process, KMEW panels have a large number of fine independent voids inside the base material. This absorbs and relieves the pressure due to volume expansion caused by moisture freezing. KMEW extruded panels demonstrate exceptional freeze–thaw durability, maintaining a volume swelling rate of only approximately 2% even after 600 cycles. This high level of resistance ensures long-term material integrity, making KMEW a reliable façade solution for cold and variable climates.
EXCEPTIONAL DIMENSION STABILITY
KMEW panels are autoclave-cured, ensuring exceptional dimensional stability from the moment they leave the factory. Unlike many cement-based panels that may require years to fully cure with a risk of warping of the base material over time. KMEW panels undergo a controlled high-pressure, high-temperature curing process that stabilizes the material structure immediately. As a result, long-term movement is minimized: after 400 days, the maximum expansion or contraction is only ±1.1 mm, or 0.05%. This level of stability ensures precise alignment, reliable detailing, and enduring façade integrity.
NOISE BARRIER EFFECT

Outer walls finished with KMEW panels deliver strong acoustic performance, particularly within the 250–1000 Hz range - the frequencies most perceptible to the human ear. This helps reduce exterior noise intrusion while also limiting interior sound leakage. Additionally, the integrated ventilation layer within the rainscreen assembly enhances overall sound attenuation, contributing to a quieter and more comfortable indoor environment. Sound attenuation: 33 dB at 1000 Hz, 29 dB at 500 Hz.
RECYCLED MATERIAL

Consisting of approximately 45% recycled material, the panels are 100% recyclable, factory finished with no VOC, and contain no asbestos. Fly ash and pulp are included as recycled materials, reducing resource consumption during production.
In our manufacturing process, all discharged water is treated by the latest treatment technologies and recycled as much as possible.
